Getting Started: Subscription and Connection
Create an account, get a subscription, and import the server configuration on your device. If you already have an account or subscription, pick up at the relevant step.
Create an Account and Open the User Dashboard
Select the “Free to Use” option below to open the VPNXN user dashboard’s account creation page. Follow the prompts to choose a username and password; no email address is required. Pick a username you can recognize and keep safe for future sign-ins. Use a password manager to generate and store a unique password rather than reusing one from another site.
Before submitting, check the username spelling and make sure you’ve saved the password somewhere secure. Once your account is created, follow the prompts to open the user dashboard. If you already have an account, sign in with your existing details. You don’t need to create another account to use VPNXN on a different device. VPNXN allows unlimited simultaneous devices, and each can use a subscription linked to the same account.
In the dashboard, find the Account Overview and make sure you’re signed into the account you intend to use. It’s normal for no client to be imported yet. Signing in, activating a plan, and connecting a client are separate steps: creating an account doesn’t mean your device is already using a server. Stay in the dashboard and choose a plan next.
Choose a Plan and Check Your Order Status
Open the Plans section in the user dashboard. Check the billing period first, then the data allowance. Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Monthly data resets on your activation date each month, not at the start of the calendar month. Browsing and extended video streaming use different amounts of data, so choose based on your actual habits, not just the number of devices.
If your usage varies, consider a data package: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. Data packages remain valid until used and never expire, unlike subscriptions that reset monthly. Check the plan name, price, and data allowance before proceeding with the order. Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT are supported; follow the payment instructions shown for your current order.
After payment, return to the user dashboard and check your order and account overview to confirm that your plan status and data allowance have updated. If the payment page shows completion but the dashboard hasn’t updated, check the order status first. Avoid placing another order by clicking repeatedly. For payment questions, submit the order details through a dashboard support ticket; never send your password or subscription link.
VPNXN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you upgrade mid-term, the price difference is converted into remaining days. To compare data allowances and billing terms, see the plan pricing page. Wait until the account overview shows an active subscription before copying the link, so an incomplete order isn’t mistaken for a client issue.
Get Your Subscription Link and Copy It in Full
Return to the account overview and find the subscription details or client import section. The subscription link gives your client access to the server configurations available for your account. It is not the website URL or the login page address. Use the dashboard’s copy option—don’t copy the browser address bar or enter an order number in the client’s subscription field.
If the dashboard offers a one-click import option for your client, use it after installing the app. Your browser may ask to open the associated app; check the app name before proceeding. If the client isn’t installed yet, get it in the next step, then return to the dashboard to import. If automatic handoff isn’t supported, copy the link and add it manually. Either way, the client needs to save and read the subscription.
When copying the link manually, include the entire URL, including any parameters after the question mark. If you transfer it between devices, use a trusted personal channel. After pasting, check for added line breaks or spaces, or text shortened by a messaging app. Don’t assemble a real link from the example below or mix in a link from another account.
https://example.com/sub?token=xxxx
The example above shows only the URL format and won’t connect. Get your actual link from the user dashboard after signing in. Treat it like a password: don’t post it in public discussions, include it in tutorial screenshots, or paste it into unfamiliar online conversion tools. Before sharing a screenshot for help, hide the link and its QR code.
You can leave the dashboard open for now so it’s easy to return to. Normally, you don’t need to copy the subscription again each time you connect. When you need to refresh the server list, update the existing subscription in your client first. For help with a leaked link or update issues, see the Help Center.
Import the Client for Your Device
In the user dashboard’s downloads section, select your device’s platform to find the VPNXN client and its instructions. Client downloads are available in the dashboard, not on this page. The steps below cover desktop and mobile: install and open the app, import the subscription, then check that the server list appears. A successful import only confirms that the configuration was read; connecting and granting system permissions come next.
Windows: Add the Link in the Subscription or Configuration Section
Install and open the Windows desktop client provided in the dashboard, following its instructions. If your browser asks whether to open the client, check the target app before continuing. To import manually, open the client’s subscription, configuration, or equivalent management section and find the option to add a configuration from a link. Paste the full subscription URL you copied earlier. You can use a personal label to identify it; don’t put your password in the label.
Save the link, refresh or update the subscription, then return to the configuration list and select the new entry. Make sure you can see server or region names before opening the connection screen. If the list is empty, check that the link is complete and the subscription is active; there’s no need to change system network settings right away. When you reopen the app, confirm that this configuration is still selected so you don’t accidentally use another subscription you imported earlier.
macOS: Check the App Source and Active Configuration
Install and open the macOS desktop client from the dashboard, following the download instructions. If macOS prompts you about installation or network access, check the app source and read the prompt. If you’re unsure, return to the dashboard instructions rather than turning off system protections to proceed.
Open the client’s configuration manager, choose the option to import from a URL or subscription link, paste the link, and save it. If you use one-click import from the dashboard, return to the configuration list after the app opens and check that the subscription was added and selected. You should see server names after updating. A menu bar icon only means the app is running; it doesn’t confirm that your browser is using the selected server.
Android: Add a Subscription and Approve the Connection
Open the Android client page in the user dashboard’s downloads section and install the app by following the current instructions. In the app, find the configuration, subscription management, or add-configuration page. Choose import from a link, paste the subscription URL, and save. If the dashboard offers a QR code, you can scan it if your client supports this method. The QR code contains access credentials too, so don’t share it publicly.
Wait for the configuration to load, select the subscription, and check the server list. Then choose the region you need. The first time you connect, the system may ask for permission to create a VPN connection. Check the app name before allowing it. If the connection drops when the app moves to the background, check whether the system restricts background activity and review the relevant device settings one by one. Avoid changing several battery and network settings at once, so you can identify the cause.
iOS: Get the App and Add a Configuration Using the Dashboard Instructions
Open the iOS download and setup guide in the user dashboard and follow the current App Store link or app instructions to get a compatible client. Installation and import steps on iOS may differ from desktop. Don’t use Windows or Android installation files on iOS, and avoid finding unofficial alternatives from unknown sources.
In the client, find the option to add a link on the subscription or configuration page, or use the dashboard’s supported import method. After importing, check the configuration list and server names, and make sure the intended subscription is selected. The first time you connect, iOS may ask to add a VPN configuration or verify your device. Read the system prompt before proceeding. Importing a configuration, allowing the system connection, and accessing the target website are separate checks; verify each in order.
VPNXN also supports Linux. Find the download and setup instructions in the user dashboard. Each device needs its own client import and connection setup; another device’s active connection won’t enable it automatically. For details on protocol, routing mode, and server topology, see Server and Protocol Reference. For your first connection, you can start with the dashboard’s recommended configuration.
Enable the Connection and Verify Access
Once the subscription has loaded, select the configuration, choose a server, and connect. You don’t need to compare every region when getting started; choose an exit region that matches the target service’s requirements. Server names, types, and available options depend on what the dashboard and client show. A region may have multiple servers, and names alone can’t tell you how well they’ll work for you.
If the client asks to set up a system proxy, establish a system connection, or allow a network extension, check the platform instructions. A configuration can be imported without the connection being enabled, and an app can be running without handling the relevant traffic—both are common reasons it may not work. Different modes can cover different apps. For testing, use the browser or app recommended in the instructions rather than assuming all programs follow the same route automatically.
When the client shows that you’re connected, open the website you plan to use and try loading a page or completing a normal task. The connection status confirms the local connection process; it doesn’t guarantee that the target service will work. If everyday sites load but an AI tool or streaming service still reports a region, account, or permission issue, note the platform’s exact message. Don’t assume every error is caused by the network route. The platform makes its own decisions about account eligibility and access region.
If access fails, first check that your local network works with the client disconnected. Then check your plan status, data allowance, and current subscription. Update the existing subscription, verify the selected configuration and server, and try another server if needed. Change one thing at a time and reload the target page to see what made a difference. Avoid repeatedly deleting configurations, reinstalling the client, or creating more accounts for now; those steps add more variables to troubleshoot.
If you still can’t connect, visit the Help Center and look for troubleshooting steps for your account, connection, or server. For support, submit a ticket in the user dashboard with your device platform, the client’s message, the selected server name, and the steps you’ve tried. Hide passwords, subscription links, and QR codes in screenshots; leave only the messages needed to explain the issue.
Once access is verified, keep the working configuration. For everyday use, connect when needed and update the subscription when you want to refresh the server list. To learn more about protocol choices, packet loss, and congestion, continue with Servers and Protocols. You don’t need to adjust everything during your first setup.
